For Educators

Because the classroom is an extension of the family, educators play a crucial role in the lives of children. Ensuring that our teachers receive the proper tools and professional development can make a great impact in the success of the teacher and the students she/he comes across.

Professional Development Services

How many teachers get excited for inservice or professional development? Not too many of them and that’s mainly due to two reasons: 1. They find it boring. 2. The topic is not relevant to their needs.  We want to change that! We believe professional development for teachers should be meaningful and relevant to the needs of each teacher and hey, why not fun!

Each professional development package will look a little different depending on the needs of your staff. After an initial face to face discussion, we will map out the professional development based on the areas of growth for your team. The following are a few of the professional development topics that your staff will benefit from:

  • Develop a large teaching toolbox of kind and firm discipline approaches.

  • Brain in the palm of your hand. Understanding the functioning brain of the children you teach and how it affects their behavior and mindset.

  • Understanding your “top card” (personality style) and what it invites from children and others.

  • Using class meetings to teach problem-solving skills, communication skills, and many other life skills.

  • Understanding the motivation behind students’ misbehavior and how to encourage positive change.

  • Creating an equitable classroom community based on mutual respect.

  • Emotional regulation techniques

  • The effects of trauma on the brain and nervous system (Trauma informed compassionate classroom)

  • And lots more!
